Do you need to build leadership, communication and innovation skills in your organisation?

Is it also important to help your people improve their productivity through managing time or meetings more effectively?

In today’s operating environment for both private and third sector organisations, people are increasingly being asked to do more with less, to respond quickly and imaginatively to new challenges and to demonstrate collective leadership at all levels.

Training can be an effective way of helping people and teams improve their skills and ability to cope in such a challenging environment.

We believe that people learn far more from their own experiences, than they do from what any ‘expert’ tells them, so we design our courses to give as much opportunity for experiential learning as possible. We introduce ideas and tools that are practical, relevant and can be readily applied at work. We know that our clients are busy people and require training to deliver real benefits.

Barefoot provides creative, lively, high-impact, hands-on training and development courses and workshops that are tailored to meet our client’s objectives.

We’d be happy to hear from you about what challenges you face and discuss with you how Barefoot could help your people and teams increase their skills, confidence and results.

The Challenge of Science Leadership

The Barefoot Thinking Company has been developing and delivering science leadership training courses since 2009 with our academic partners including The Leopold Leadership Program (Stanford University, USA), The VEGA Fellows Leadership and Communication Program (University of Lund, Sweden) and The University of Toronto Science Leadership Program, amongst others.

In January 2013, we started the Challenge of Science Leadership (CSL) training course, currently approved by 4 UK chartered institutes – The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), The Royal Society of Biology, The Chartered Institute for Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and The Royal Society of Chemistry. Since 2013 the CSL course and its 1- and 2-day derivatives has been successfully delivered both as an open course and in-house to over 1000 scientists from 75 organisations in the UK, Europe and North America.
